Initial Consultation
Please allow 2-3 hours for your first visit. An initial consultation with a homeopath looks much like an in-depth conversation. I will want to learn all I can about the symptoms you are currently experiencing, as well as past health concerns and family history. Information about your personality, your strengths and weaknesses, stressors in your life, as well as how you are affected by food and environment -- all this and more helps to paint a detailed picture of your health. After we meet I will study and analyze the information gathered. This careful investigation may take up to two weeks, at which time I will recommend an appropriate remedy for you. ($200) Infant, Child, or Youth Consultation For children ages 15 and under, the first visit is about 1-2 hours in length. Often it is helpful to have a separate conversation, either prior to or soon after your child's appointment, to discuss any sensitive matters that are best not talked about in front of your child. ($125) Follow Up Consultation Six to eight weeks after your initial consultation, a follow up visit is scheduled so we can assess your progress. After that, follow ups are scheduled as needed. Often clients find it helpful to schedule seasonal "tune-ups" four times a year to maintain good health and vitality. These appointments generally last 45-60 minutes. You may or may not need another remedy after a follow up appointment. ($75) |
Acute Care You are welcome to call for care during an acute illness such as a cold, cough, or flu; or a sudden injury or sprain. I will most likely recommend a remedy that can be obtained at your local co-op or health food store, and we'll stay in touch via phone or email until the illness has resolved. ($25-50) Remedies Remedies are ordered for you from a local homeopathic pharmacy. Alternatively, I may on occasion provide you with a remedy from my own personal supply. ($10-$20) In acute situations I will usually recommend a remedy which you can easily and quickly obtain from your neighborhood co-op or health food store. If you enjoy using homeopathy at home to treat common illnesses, you may wish to consider purchasing a kit containing some basic remedies to have on hand. Payment Policy Payment is due at the time of service, and I accept cash, check, or credit card. Conventional medical insurance, including Medicare and Medicaid, does not cover homeopathic services. However, Health Savings Accounts (HSA) used in conjunction with High Deductible Health Plans (HDHP) may be used to pay for medical expenses using tax-free dollars. Questions regarding services covered or not covered should be directed to your insurance carrier prior to your appointment. |
