Please allow 2 hours for your first visit. An initial consultation with a homeopath looks much like an in-depth conversation. It is an opportunity for the client to discuss his or her concerns, and for the homeopath to get to know the client. The current symptoms, as well as previous health concerns, information about personality, life stressors, and how the client is affected by food and environment -- all this and more helps to paint a detailed picture.
After the consultation, considerable care and time is taken to ensure that the chosen remedy individually matches the client. This investigation may take up to two weeks. ($275)
Infant, Child, or Youth Initial Consultation
For children ages 15 and under, the first visit is about 1-2 hours in length. ($185)
Follow Up Consultations
Generally scheduled six to eight weeks after the initial consultation, follow up visits are an important part of the homeopathic process.
Follow ups allow the homeopath and client the opportunity to review the effect of the remedy and make any necessary adjustments. Depending on the issue being addressed and the client's current level of health, follow up visits may be more frequent, initially, to monitor the effectiveness of the remedy and the client's reaction to it. These appointments typically last 60 minutes. ($75)
Whether you are an established client or new, you are welcome to call for care during an acute illness such as a cold, cough, flu, or injury. ($25-50)
Remedies are ordered and prepared at a local homeopathic pharmacy. In acute situations remedies can also be obtained at your neighborhood co-op or health food store. ($10-$20)
Homeopathic remedies act as a trigger to inspire the body to heal itself. For acute conditions, only one remedy may be necessary. For long-standing conditions, several remedies may be used consecutively to treat layers of health over time. Once health is restored, it is no longer necessary to take the homeopathic remedy.
Payment is due at the time of service via cash, check, or credit card. At this time conventional medical insurance, including Medicare and Medicaid, does not cover homeopathic services. However, Health Savings Accounts (HSA) used in conjunction with High Deductible Health Plans (HDHP) may be used to pay for medical expenses using tax-free dollars. Questions regarding services covered or not covered should be directed to your insurance carrier.
